Yes it's baaaaack!! After a couple of months toiling with ideas, bands, venues and locations, us at One Love HQ have found a great spot and show to bring back the love once again...
This time we are coming to you from the Town Hall hotel in Newtown aka The Townie. It's in a great location (heart of Newtown), has a vibey band room with happening atmosphere, free entry, cheap drinks, world class entertainment (yes of course!) just what we needed to get a Friday night party started!! …. did we mention FREE entry?
So about the show in store… This time Revolution Inc is teaming up with an awesome band, one that has….. well, an aversion to shoes and so are aptly called The Barefoot band!
They are a group that started off their journey as four friends taking their music to the world through their travels and experiences. The lead singer of this band is none other than Ben Goldstein, who you may have seen on The Voice, Australia’s last season. These guys dropped a new single and video early this year and are on a trajectory to being huuuge! You can catch them at the show with a much bigger line up, their music is described as harmoniously meshing Reggae, Roots and Hip-hope styles…. don’t miss these guys!!
Also you will find our friends from CharkeInc once again bringing along their reggae artistic flare, passion and message through their art, T shirts and stories. It will be a wall to wall colourful event, you can check their stuff out here.
Of course you will hear the night ring out late, with the groovin reggae base and guitar skanks, bubbling keyboard, sharp yet smooth trumpet lines and vocal harmonies that is Revolution Incorporated. Lately the shows have proven to end in an all-out sing-along, yes so please bring your well lubricated singing voices (lubrication also available at the bar), there’s bound to be a chorus going!! Listen out for some brand new funky tunes too…
